The Purchasing Coordinator will work closely with both the Purchasing Manager and the Business Manager as you work to process daily purchase orders and facilitate the supply & material acquisition processes in support of the electrical service team. We are seeking a person with a desire to learn and grow and engage in the excitement and energy in growing a small business.
Primary Responsibilities
• Process daily purchase orders
• Communicate to field operations team status checks
• Gather supply & material information for estimating
• Reconcile purchase orders to product receiving documents
• Available for special projects related to supplies and materials
• Work together with team to build relationships with vendors and investigate options
• Other duties as assigned by the Business Manager
The Right Candidate:
• Doesn’t wait for someone else to give them a task to do, they take the initiative to move it forward
• Starts each day looking for something positive to happen
• Wants to learn something new and recognizes that learning can be a hard process
• Some purchasing or accounts payable experience in construction a plus BUT character and attitude are more important than experience
• Sets goals and holds themselves accountable to achieve them
• Listens more than they speak
